Charlie Carrel beat 66 players to win the EPT Dublin €10,300 Single-Day High Roller for €164,500 ($185,104) in prize money. With 23 re-entries, a prize pool worth €863,300 was created for the event.

Carrel has already added a cool $507,974 to his bankroll in 2016, talking his career earnings to $2,203,575.

To secure his latest win, the UK poker pro had to beat some of the best players on the circuit like Steve O’Dwyer, Mustapha Kanit, and Mike McDonald, Mark Radoja, Jeff Rossiter, and Dominik Nitsche.

Nine players made it to the final table and after a series of eliminations, it was left for Carrel and Nitsche to fight it out for the title.

The final hand of the heads-up battle was played when Carrel (A-A) and Nitsche (A-Q) went all-in preflop. The board ran J-10-5-4-8 to hand Carrel the coveted EPT title, while Nitsche had to settle for a second place prize of €139,450.
